And So It Went

So, I shrugged off my crabby pants and hit the caucus, and I'm so glad I did. I WAS considering going only long enough to cast my vote, but at the last minute decided to stay for the whole caucusing process.

Caucusing = boring, weird, funny, fun, confusing, tiring, inspiring, and patriotic. Also: I got to brush up on my Madd Robert's Rules of Order Skillz. Rawr!

Obama won for our county by 8 votes.

I'm a delegate to the County Caucus. I was not in that room for ONE MINUTE before getting sucked back into the local Dems. (This is good and bad, but mostly good, I think.)

+++++++++++

David and I met 9 years ago on February 6th. We immediately connected and started dating. Since our "anniversary" is so close to Valentine's day, we celebrate it instead. David brought home tulips, and we watched the movie Once (oh, so good). And we are going on a real live date on Saturday, just the two of us. You guys, 9 years seems like forever. We are too YOUNG to have met 9 years ago.

Other good movies I've seen lately: Jesus Camp (we were rivited) and The Waitress (this was just perfect). Also, I'm going to be buying the soundtrack for Once. *pitter-patter*

P.S. Is Blogger EVER going to fix spell check??

I thought it was just me having spell check problems!

Happy Anniversary!

One of my friends was caucusing on Tues and told me it made her doubt the whole election system's accuracy! Said the lady running it couldn't figure out the math, but Colorado divides up their delegates based on a % of votes.

Jesus Camp. Could you even BELIEVE it? I felt bad for some of the kids, even though others of them are clearly charismatic and smart, etc. It just seemed like they all felt SO MUCH PRESSURE all the time.

Tessie, Yes SO MUCH PRESSURE. No matter how passionate you are about something, it seems excessive to put so much onto such young and innocent shoulders.

I too loved the kids- they were so adorable and sweet.

That is cool that you got to participate in a caucus. I still have no idea what that is!!

Caucus? As a verb? *eyes blinking* I need to read up on this....

Also, Happy Anniversary!

Also, Yay for "Once"! So simple and so beautiful. Glad you liked it.

Oh Jesus Camp was INSANE. Such a fascinating peak into another world for me. (I've got "Waitress" on my Netflix list.)

I keep cutting and posting blog posts into my email program to spell check. How lame is that?!?!

Happy Anniversary!

We just watched Waitress and Jesus Camp in the past couple of weeks, as well. Jesus Camp = Crazy. I really think that adorable little freckled girl is going to be schizo later in life... so much pressure!

Oh, caucusing..

That's awesome about your caucusing. And you've got a DATE tomorrow night! That's so exciting! You'll have to report back.

Happy anniversary. Nine years is certainly something to be proud of.

Clueless but hopeful- maybe caucusing ISN'T a verb- ha! maybe I just created a word.

Doubt it; probably just used it incorrectly. I know google would answer this question, but I am Lay-ZEE today. Also, busy.

Blogger Spell Check has NEVER worked for me. NEVER. I emailed and complained a long time ago--maybe I should see if now that it's broken for everyone else, perhaps it works for me.

Paul and I met over 16 years ago. That is...weird. How can that be true? *doing math* GEEZ. But it took us several years to start dating.

I loved the Waitress and thought JEsus Camp was so friggin creapy. Also...normally we get or movies from Comcast ON DEMAND, but some reaseon that weekend I decided to go to Blockbuster and rent. They sucked me into some rental plan that I have yet to use because I STILL HAE JESUS CAMP AND SOME OTHER CRAP-TASTIC MOVIES WAITING TO BE RETURNED! I'm assuming that since I haven't received any threating phone calls or collection notices that I now own these movies under this special plan.

Now I remember why I don't go to Blockbuster.

Also, apparently I don't need to proof read my comments before publishing them. Sorry!
